This course is offered in German.
- Introduction: Cost-effective and high-quality designs, overview of externally and self-controlled motors, basic design options, permanent-magnet materials.
- Stepping motors: Designs (magnetic, reluctance, hybrid rotors), operating modes, electronic circuits, characteristics, control, damping methods, dynamic operating performance.
- Universal motors: Design, applications, operating performance, electrical and electronic speed control, commutation, electronic circuits.
- Alternating current induction motors: Design, applications, winding types, versions (capacitor, resistance auxiliary phase, shaded-pole motor), operating performance (generalized symmetrical components, conductance locus curve), speed setting, electronic circuits.
- Alternating current synchronous machines: Design (stator with slots, salient or claw poles), motors with magnetic, hysteresis and reluctance rotors.
- Types of protection and standards
- Application of numerical calculation methods and tools for the dimensioning and simulation of electronically operated small machines.
