Control of a permanent magnet DC motor
The focus of this Master lab is a DC machine used to drive a model railway. The aim of the experiment is to drive the model railway at constant, slope-independent speed which corresponds to the constant speed of a DC machine.
For this purpose, a control is implemented into a real-time system. Then, the different operating modes of the track are compared.
The topics include:
- function principle of DC machines,
- design and implementation of an appropriate control and
- start-up of the control.
